4BB Chambers is a well-established set of criminal chambers, based in Southampton Buildings, London. Members cover crime of every type and complexity, from murder, fraud, sexual offences and drug trafficking to modern day slavery and road traffic accidents. We have appeared in some of the most serious and high-profile criminal cases in the English courts of recent years and are committed to achieving excellence.

4BB Chambers members regularly appear before the lower and higher courts as well as tribunals. In March 2020 4BB Chambers moved from the premises from which we took our name, 4 Breams Buildings, to ultra-modern premises at 44 Southampton Buildings just off of Chancery Lane. We therefore remain at the very heart of London’s legal profession. We undertook this move in order to update our working environment and practices, whilst retaining facilities that keep us at the forefront of the criminal Bar. We continue to enjoy a state-of-the-art legal library and have other resources to provide a service of the highest calibre. Chambers has extensive facilities available for client conferences, either in-person or online and our building is fully accessible to those with mobility issues.
In 2002 the long-established Chambers of Michael Boardman and Stuart Trimmer KC at 6 Gray’s Inn Square, the Chambers of Nicholas Valios KC at Francis Taylor Building and the Chambers of Joanna Greenberg KC at 3 Temple Gardens merged to create a modern, well-run chambers, fit for the 21st century. New premises were found at 4 Breams Buildings just off Chancery Lane. The set became known as 4BB Chambers. We have since been joined by experienced tenants from other sets, including many members of Ronald Thwaites KC’s heavy-weight criminal set. In 2020 we moved to ultra modern premises at 44 Southampton Buildings, that are equipped with state-of-the art facilities.
