In the case of Nevitt [2017] EWCA Crim 421, Stuart Trimmer KC has successfully defended a confiscation order in the Court of Appeal. The order, which was made in 2008, had been challenged by the appellant on the basis that it ought not to have been made in his absence. Stuart was successfully able to argue that the trial judge had acted lawfully and the order was upheld.
