Members of 4BB Chambers are trusted to prosecute some of the most complex, sensitive and serious cases brought by the Crown Prosecution Service and other public bodies across the country. Our barristers prosecute the full range of criminal cases brought in the public interest with skill and consideration, from first appearances in serious cases in the magistrates’ court, through to appellate hearings as respondents. Members often prosecute as both leading and led juniors in an array of cases, including cases involving murder, serious violence, firearms, drugs and fraud.
Chambers has prosecutors at each of the CPS levels 1-4, as well as King’s Counsel who regularly prosecute. Members are available to provide pre and post charge advice in writing and in conference in appropriate cases. Our barristers understand the importance of the teamwork required from an early stage in complex prosecutions, working with police forces, the National Crime Agency, HMRC and other investigative bodies on a regular basis.
Many members are available to undertake RASSO cases, including at short notice, and are frequently instructed in this sensitive area of work.
As well as CPS work, barristers at 4BB Chambers are often instructed to prosecute on behalf of local authorities and the Probation Service.
