Michael Edmonds represented a Defendant who was convicted of a campaign of rape, violence and intimidation of a child victim over a period of eight years.
In a case described by the Judge as being “exceptional in its gravity”, even for cases of this type, the Defendant faced a sentence of life imprisonment. Michael secured a determinative sentence of 20 years’ imprisonment.
