Michael Edmonds secured the unanimous acquittal of the lead Defendant charged with armed robbery.
The Crown alleged that the Defendant was involved in a highly organised armed robbery during which the victims were tied up, assaulted and threatened in front of their children before more than £40,000 in cash and jewellery was stolen. The Crown described the operation as “extremely professional and sophisticated”, alleging that the offenders left no forensic evidence and even arranged for the getaway vehicle to be collected after it was abandoned.
Following a two-week trial at Liverpool Crown Court, Michael’s client was unanimously acquitted.
Michael was instructed by Akeeb Yakoob of Maurice Andrews Solicitors.
