On 28th June 2016, Kevin Walsh successfully appealed his clients sentence, securing her immediate release from prison. Kevin argued that the sentencing judge had failed to take into account the effect of an immediate prison sentence on the defendant’s two young children. The Court of Appeal agreed, reducing her sentence for fraud to one of 6 months, all of which time she had already served.
