Christopher Surtees-Jones secures acquittals for causing grievous bodily harm with intent with unlawful wounding in the alternative following a 5-day trial at Croydon Crown Court.
The Crown alleged that the defendant had intentionally caused a 10cm by 4cm wound to his partner’s leg using a large barbeque knife. The defence maintained that the injury was caused by the complainant herself in an accident when washing up whilst the defendant was in another room.
The jury found the defendant not guilty on both counts.
Christopher was instructed by Sukie Dhonota at Victor Clifford Solicitors Ltd.
