Ruby Wright joined chambers upon completion of her pupillage with 4BB. Ruby Defends and Prosecutes in the Magistrates Court, Youth Court and Crown Court.
Whilst studying the Bar Course, Ruby participated in a variety of pro-bono work such as volunteering for the BPP Legal Advice Clinic as a Student Director, Street Law Research Project, “Your Lawyer” App and North Kensington Law Centre Housing Drop-In.
Ruby’s project for her LLM(bar), “Rape by deception – how to better protect sexual autonomy”, analysed the legislation concerning consensual sex and deception as to fertility status.
Ruby has completed the ICCA “Advocacy for Children in Conflict with the Law” Training Course, assisting her ability to work with children and young Defendants. Ruby has also previously received training to communicate with individuals with visual impairments, mental health difficulties and learning disabilities.
Ruby’s first six pupil supervisor was Julia Mackworth and her second six pupil supervisor was Tim Naik.
