Rebecca undertakes both prosecution and defence work in the Youth Court, Magistrate’s Court and Crown Court. Her experience covers a broad range of offences including allegations of serious sexual and violent offences, drug offences, and driving offences. She is known for her early and thorough case preparation, attention to detail and dedicated approach.
Rebecca has a wealth of experience representing defendants with a range of vulnerabilities. She is regularly requested to deal with cases that have vulnerable clients and appears in the Youth Court on Certificate for Counsel matters.
She has particular expertise in disclosure matters for serious and complex fraud cases having worked on several successful prosecutions during her time at the Serious Fraud Office where she was described by her Case Controller as “the lynhchpin on disclosure”.
Rebecca is currently instructed as Disclosure Counsel by HMRC on a large-scale fraud and excise evasion prosecution.
Before coming to the bar Rebecca worked as a paralegal at Sonn Macmillan Walker Solicitors where she prepared cases for both the Magistrate’s and Crown Court. This experience ensures that she has a strong foundation in all aspects of criminal law and case preparation.
