Marcia is a confident advocate who always strives to obtain the best outcome for her clients.

She is highly regarded for her steadfast approach to preparation and paying attention to detail in presenting legal issues before the court. She has a thriving practice in the Magistrates’ Youth and Crown Court and often receives new instructions from professionall clients based on her performance and successful outcome in earlier cases.

Marcia has a background in campaigning for animal welfare/rights at a grass roots level and has a particular interest in protest law and in prosecuting animal cruelty cases. She is also regularly instructed to defend in cases under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991.

Prior to coming to the bar Marcia had a successful career in security management during which she headed the security operations for high profile events including Royal visits and the 2012 Olympics. She subsequently spent two years working as a paralegal during which she became an accredited police station representative and also represented clients detained under Mental Health Act. She is particularly confident in dealing with cases where mental health issues are present.

Marcia both prosecutes and defends. She represents Defendants charged with a range of offences including serious violence, offensive weapons, drugs, robbery, fraud, burglary, theft and driving matters.

    Successfully defended a client charged with sexual assault.

  • R v Payne (2023) Wood Green Crown Court

    Successfully defended a client charged with possession of a bladed article and possession of cannabis.

  • R v Ajiboye (2023) Inner London Crown Court

    Successfully prosecuted defendant for Possession of an Identity Document With Improper Intention

Marcia represents defendants charged with offences under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 including regularly opposing the imposition of immediate destruction orders and making applications for the return of pets to their owners.
