Khalid was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in July 2001. He then qualified as duty solicitor and police station representative in July 2003. As a solicitor, he dealt with many high-profile cases including murders and famous “Jubilee line” fraud case. He became a Solicitor Advocate in July 2005. He mainly practiced in criminal law and set up his own law firm under the name of Khan & Partners Solicitors. As the volume of his Crown Court work increased, he decided to transfer to the Bar. In March 2006, he was called to the Bar. He sold his legal practice which is currently operating as a leading firm in London.
In 2015, he moved to Pakistan and worked as Additional Advocate General Punjab, where he was regularly appearing before Lahore High Court and Supreme Court of Pakistan in constitutional and administrative law cases. In 2020, he moved back to UK and started practicing in the area of criminal law. Presently, he is defending complex cases including historical rape, large-scale money laundering cases under investigation by NCA, production and supply of cannabis, violent disorder, GBH and aggravated burglary (dwelling). He is also a member of the CPS list and is regularly called upon to prosecute.

Represented a defendant who was charged with PWITS cannabis (3kg), PWITS of cocaine (40g), and possession of criminal property (£1300). Jury was made aware that the defendant had pleaded guilty to possession of Cannabis with intent to supply. Defendant gave evidence explaining that the cocaine was for his personal use. Defendant was acquitted of supplying class A drugs.
Defended a case where two working women were allegedly raped on gunpoint and robbed of their earnings. Forensic and digital evidence was key to the prosecution evidence. Firearm expert evidence also needed to be challenged without the benefit of a defence expert.
Defended a case where multiple defendants were charged with abduction, slavery & servitude and benefit fraud. It was a complex case where large volume of evidence was involved. Defendant was fully satisfied with the outcome of the case.
Defended an accused who was charged with rape by a stranger and only linked through forensic evidence. It was a complex case where we had to heavily rely on forensic evidence. He was acquitted of rape but found guilty of sexual assault.
In a case involving an Organized Crime Group dealing with large quantity of class A drug and money laundering, I represented a defendant who was found with a £150,000 cash in his car. The prosecution painted him as a key member of the group who was regularly observed by surveillance team. The defendant gave evidence that he was working as a mini cab driver and had no knowledge of the content of the parcel found in his car. He was a man of previous good character and worked hard to achieve the title of kick boxing champion. The defendant was acquitted.
Three defendants were charged with a robbery where they brutally smashed the face of the victim. Successfully defended the defendant of robbery but he was found guilty of the offence of accessary to the theft.
The defendant was charged with violent disorder jointly with seven others who were facing murder charge. The defendant was last on the indictment and co-defendants were blaming him for murder. It was difficult to repel the advances of seven Silks but after three weeks, his case was severed.
