Joscaidy Abreu Talbot commenced her first six pupillage in April 2026 under the supervision of Joseph McKenna.

Prior to pupillage Joscaidy served over 11 years in the British Army, where she gained extensive experience in Telecommunications and Human Intelligence. Following her military service, Joscaidy worked as a Consultant Paralegal at a criminal defence solicitors’ firm, assisting on a wide range of matters including general and serious crime, regulatory and military law. She subsequently joined the Crown Prosecution Service as a Paralegal Officer within the Rape and Serious Sexual Offences team. In this role, she engaged with vulnerable witnesses and gained valuable experience in the preparation and progression of serious and complex cases.

Joscaidy is keen to develop a broad criminal practice and, as a Veteran has a particular interest in court-martial work. She will be able to accept instructions from October 2026, upon commencing her second six pupillage.
